More about our Industrial Diesel Heaters

What do industrial diesel heaters do, and who are they for?

They provide fast, dependable heat for workspaces that have to keep moving, sheds, workshops, warehouses, drying walls/paint without dust, and defrosting gear or pipelines. They’re built to be portable, tough, and simple to run on busy sites.

Which heater type suits my space, forced air or radiant?

  • Forced air units push warm air to lift the temperature quickly across a room, great for larger areas and drying jobs.
  • Some models combine radiant + forced air to warm people and objects directly while still circulating heat, handy in drafty sheds.

What sizes and run times are available?

From smaller workshop heaters (around 17–20 kW) to larger 36 kW industrial heaters, there’s a size to suit most jobs. Tank capacities range from about 11 to 60 litres, giving anywhere between 7 and 21 hours of run time, depending on the model.

Do you offer battery ready or low noise options?

Yes. Select BE Heaters models include a battery operated variant (lithium + 240 V) and SilentDrive® technology engineered to run at around half the noise of comparable heaters. Ideal where comfort and communication matter.

What safety features should I look for?

Our range highlights automatic over temperature shut off and error indicator lights as standard on many models. Proper ventilation is always required, diesel heaters are for well ventilated or semi open industrial spaces.

Are they genuinely portable?

Yes. At Bushfire we have portable diesel heaters that are designed to be moved around site with ergonomic handles, trolley frames (optional) and a compact footprint make relocation straightforward between jobs.

What fuel and power do they need?

Heaters are diesel fired with 240 V power (and some multi-fuel/battery models, depending on the unit). Check each product card for exact specs on fuel consumption (L/h) and electrical requirements.

How do I choose the right kW rating?

As a rule of thumb, drafty or open areas need more kW. Consider:

  • Room volume and airflow (doors roller-open? forklifts moving in/out?)
  • Primary task (comfort heating vs drying/curing vs defrosting)
  • Duty cycle (continuous all day vs short bursts)

Tell us your shed size and usage and we’ll match a model to your target temperature and run time.

Any simple care tips?

Keep fuel clean, check filters, and store the unit dry between jobs. Wipe down intakes/outlets to maintain airflow, and follow the product manual for servicing intervals.
